A coyote created by Isaías Jiménez (1961-), son of Manuel Jiménez (1919-2005), the founder of Oaxacan wood carving (wood carvings made in Oaxaca, Mexico). The superb artistry of this piece, which is truly in the Jiménez style, is something only Isaías, who helped his father Manuel create his works since he was a teenager, could achieve.

Born in 1961.
Isaías, son of Manuel Jiménez, the founder of Oaxacan wood carving.
Along with his older brother Angelico, he began helping his father with wood carving as a teenager, and while learning the techniques, he honed his own skills.

Even after starting a family, he continued to live with his father Manuel, so he extended a part of his childhood home and established the Manuel Jiménez Museum. He actively participates in workshops for tourists and folk art exhibitions in other regions, dedicating himself to promoting his family and the museum.
