Calf leather is dyed and waxed from buffalo hides under six months old. Because only a small amount can be obtained from one animal, it is known as a rare, high-quality leather. Compared to leather from adult cows, calf leather has relatively few variations and flaws between parts, and is characterized by its thin, soft hide. It is easy to dye, has an elegant luster, and its small, fine pores give it a smooth, pleasant feel.
