The brand PETROSOLAUM was launched in the Autumn/Winter 2012-13 season .
We aim to create products that seamlessly blend the functions of foot protection with those of art pieces at a high level.
We create shoes that reflect new challenges and our own unique philosophy, based on traditional manufacturing methods that have been passed down through generations, while showing respect for the animals used in our materials and maximizing their properties and characteristics.
The brand name is a portmanteau of the word "Petroleum" and the designer's name, Sotaro .
The fingerprint mark on the insole, which is modeled after oily fingertips, conveys a message of commitment to handcrafted work and a deep understanding of the craftsmanship involved in making things.
