YOKE
YOKE focuses on materials and patterns, adding contemporary elements to standard items.
The brand proposes sophisticated items that can be worn by all genders.
The brand name YOKE means "to connect," "bond," and "a cut-and-sew garment," which aligns with the brand's concept.
Many people are involved in the process of creating a single garment:
Raw materials → Yarn → Fabric → Cutting → Sewing → Finishing
until it becomes a product.
Clothes are created when these elements "connect." The brand thoroughly understands and connects these processes. The idea is "things connect people, people connect people, and people connect things."
The designer is Norio Terada.
After graduating from Bunka Fashion College's design program, he built his career at domestic brands and select shops.
After gaining experience in design and production management, he became independent in 2016. He launched YOKE with the Autumn/Winter 2018 collection.
"ART T-SHIRT BY MAX ERNST"
Design
This loose-fit T-shirt is made from classic organic cotton jersey and features prints of Max Ernst's artwork. Based on this season's theme, five works—"At the First Clear Word," "Flower Shell," "The Master Bedroom," "Brusberg Dokumente," and "Untitled"—are officially licensed and printed on the shirt.
Fabric
The material used is 24G high-density jersey made from 40/2 organic combed Indian cotton yarn, giving it a clean and elegant look with a tightly packed surface.
