The brand name YOKE(YOKE) means “ connection,” “bonds,” and “the fabric used to join different parts of a garment,” all of which align with the brand’s concept.
Many people are involved in the process of creating a single garment:
raw materials → yarn → fabric → cutting → sewing → finishing
before it becomes a finished product.
Clothing is made by ”connecting”these processes. By thoroughly understanding and connecting each step, the brand embodies the idea that “things connect people, people connect people, and people connect things.”
The designer is Norio Terada(NORIO TERADA).
After graduating from the Design Department of Bunka Fashion College, he built his career at domestic brands and select shops.
After gaining experience in design and production management, he went independent in 2016. YOKE launched with the 2018 fall/winter collection.
"Nylon Puffer Stand Blouson"
A puffer blouson made from high-stretch recycled nylon taffeta. Filled with insulation for warmth, the silhouette can also be adjusted with a drawcord at the hem.
Fabric
The high-density stretch taffeta made from recycled nylon features a supple texture, elegant luster, and powdery feel.C0 It is treated with a water-repellent finish and is also wrinkle-resistant for practical wear.
