CHARLOTTE PERRIAND (1903-1999)
French architect and designer Charlotte Perriand.
Born to parents who were fashion craftsmen, he grew up surrounded by a variety of materials.
He studied at the École Centrale des Arts Decoratifs (Ecole UCAD) in Paris, graduating in 1926.
He set up his own studio and exhibited his furniture at numerous exhibitions.
His "Bar in the Attic", exhibited at the Salon d'Automne in 1927, caused a huge sensation.
This work led to him entering Le Corbusier's atelier.
This was a fateful encounter, and together with Le Corbusier he created many masterpieces, including the chaise longue.
In 1940, he was invited by Junzo Sakakura, who shared his desk in the atelier, to visit Japan as an advisor for export crafts.
During his one-year stay, he traveled around Japan with Sori Yanagi as his guide, and was deeply impressed by Japan's traditional lifestyle and aesthetic sense, which were strongly reflected in his subsequent works.

This is a wall lamp designed by Charlotte Perriand.
This lighting, sold at the legendary gallery Steph Simon in Paris, features a simple structure formed by bending steel plates. The plate can be adjusted to change the angle of the light. It can also be freely placed either vertically or horizontally, allowing you to enjoy a variety of layouts.

This product is a vintage item.
There are small scratches and scuffs on the whole product due to age, but it can be used without any problems.
Since this is a wall lamp, wiring work is required. Please ask an electrician to install it.
