FABRIC “JAPANESE PLONGE COW LEATHER”
We use the Kawanishi tanning method , which takes more than twice the time and effort to prepare the raw materials and carefully pre-processes them by washing with water , soaking in lime, and deashing . It is high quality cowhide leather . It is characterized by its rich color , high-quality soft feel , and classy look, which has been dyed and fattened twice . Currently , there are only about 10 tanneries that faithfully follow this Kawanishi tanning method . Leather that has been deeply tanned and dyed and oiled multiple times has a very soft and deep color , and does not require many processes such as coloring and painting . The more you wear it , the deeper the color becomes and the softer it becomes . It gradually adapts to the wearer 's body and changes over time .
