"No.213 Indigo Palaka Denim Jacket"
[Design] The check pattern is indigo check made by Japanese immigrants who moved to Hawaii around the 20s. The lattice design is distinctly Japanese, and it is based on the S213 from the same era. The front and back yoke positions are set slightly lower than the wartime model. The left chest pocket is also set lower.
[Material] This palaka check denim is woven using slub yarn rope-dyed with indigo for the warp and ecru slub yarn. It expresses an uneven slub texture by mixing multiple types of irregularly shaped yarns to create a 11oz light ounce fabric.
[Accessories] Original tack buttons
[Processing] Natural aging with a focus on blue tones is reproduced by hand.
