YOKE
YOKE focuses on materials and patterns, adding contemporary elements to standard items, and proposing sophisticated unisex items.
The brand name "YOKE" means "to connect," "bond," and "a piece of fabric cut to connect," which aligns with the brand's concept.
Many people are involved in the process of making a single garment, from raw materials to yarn, fabric, cutting, sewing, and finishing.
Clothes are created by these elements "connecting." The brand carefully understands and connects these processes. The idea is that "things connect people, people connect people, and people connect things."
The designer is Norio Terada.
After graduating from Bunka Fashion College's Department of Design, he gained experience at domestic brands and select shops.
After gaining experience in design and production management, he went independent in 2016. He launched YOKE with the Autumn/Winter 2018 collection.
"Calf Leather Sports Jacket"
A leather sports jacket made from rare buffalo calf leather. The elasticated hem and cuffs, and the double zipper with an original engraved slider give it a sporty finish. It features a thin, soft, and fine-grained elegant texture.
