"KUCHA"

An object made from kucha, a natural material found only in Okinawa, and fired in a kerosene kiln.
Kucha means "mudstone" in the Okinawa dialect, a clay-like soil that has accumulated in the sea off Okinawa for many years.
Depending on the ingredients contained in the kucha itself and the power of the flame, it shows various expressions. Each piece is unique and has a strength and beauty that seems to have been created by nature.
