YOKE
YOKE focuses on materials and patterns, adding contemporary elements to standard items, proposing sophisticated apparel that can be worn by all genders.
The brand name YOKE means "to connect," "bond," and "yoke" (a piece of fabric), which resonates with the brand's concept.
The process of creating a single garment involves many people:
Raw materials → Yarn → Fabric → Cutting → Sewing → Finishing
Many people are involved in the process until a product is completed.
Clothes are created by these elements "connecting." The brand carefully understands these processes and how they connect. The idea behind the brand is "things connect people, people connect people, and people connect things."
The designer is Norio Terada.
After graduating from the Department of Design at Bunka Fashion College, he gained experience working for domestic brands and select shops.
After gaining experience in design and production management, he went independent in 2016. He launched YOKE with the Autumn/Winter 2018 collection.
"LINEN SKIPPER POLO SHIRT"
A new skipper shirt style. Made from a linen-viscose canvas material, it undergoes a prolonged kneading process to achieve a natural surface texture and a soft feel. This material is ideal for summer, combining the refreshing coolness unique to linen with the supple drape and elegant luster characteristic of viscose. It is also machine washable.
