Fabric: "TASMANIAN WOOL BROKEN TWILL / KASURI STRIPE"
This is an original material woven on an old-fashioned loom at a historic weaving shop in the Oshu region. The fabric has a very classic weave called toreori, and the intricately dyed kasuri thread creates exquisitely hidden stripes. The raw material is yarn spun from wool grown in Tasmania, Australia. Tasmanian wool from Tasmania is a producer of superfine wool, and has a very soft texture that feels good against the skin. After weaving, the material is washed to create a fluffy, light, and warm material.
