YOKE
YOKE focuses on materials and patterns, adding contemporary elements to standard items, proposing sophisticated unisex clothing.

The brand name YOKE means "connect," "bond," and "yoke" (a shaped piece of fabric in a garment), which aligns with the brand's concept.

Many people are involved in the process of creating a single garment:
Raw materials → Yarn → Fabric → Cutting → Sewing → Finishing
All these elements "connect" to form clothing. YOKE aims to deeply understand and connect these processes. The brand's philosophy is "Things connect people, people connect people, and people connect things."

The designer is Norio Terada.
After graduating from Bunka Fashion College's advanced design course, he gained experience at domestic brands and select shops.
He gained experience in design and production management before becoming independent in 2016. He launched YOKE with the Autumn/Winter 2018 collection.

"Printed Tencell Open Collar Shirt"
Design
An all-over print open-collar shirt featuring Paul Klee's "Morgengrau" (Morning Gray). This early work, created around 1918, explores the quiet expression of color. The 9.5cm long-point collar gives it a vintage-like feel, and it's finished with a relaxed silhouette. Engraved shell buttons are used.

Fabric
Made from Tencel broadcloth with a natural crinkled texture from Omi-zarashi (traditional Japanese finishing technique), it offers a supple drape and excellent moisture absorption.
