Beni Ouarain rug
Handwoven wool rugs from the village of Beniwarren in the northeastern Atlas Mountains of Morocco. It is an important carpet that is indispensable for life in the Atlas Mountains, and was used as a gift for celebrations and as bedding for nomadic life. The popular diamond-shaped pattern has the meaning of "protecting the house", and since each piece is hand-woven, there is no same color or pattern.
